Why don't they just create a seperate division for "major league teams? Make basically a 4A group of teams who would compete against one another for 2/3s of their game and against the "real major league teams" with the winner getting a nice trophy and a slot in the "real major league play-offs? IF they can't pay enough money to compete against the mega billionaires like the Mets, Dodgers, Yankees, and the like then quit the bullshit that team's like Cincy, Rays, A's, Wsox, Brewers, Pirates, are legit major league teams. They're not and will never be according to present rules.

Either that, or put in a base salary cap for all teams that is maybe the average pay-roll for the play-off teams for the preceding 3 years. If a team doesn't do it, then the team ought to be put on notice to either sell the team to a group who will spend the required money or pony up the money themselves. If teams want to move to other cities, let them. If REINNY THREATENS TO MOVE TO FLORIDA, PACK HIS SUITCASES FOR HIM AND KICK HIM ALL THE WAY TO THERE.

Where? Jacksonville? The Rays can’t wait to get to Nashville & the Marlins always lose money. Orlando? Reinsdorf doesn’t do those kinds of drugs.

For the White Sox not being a legit major league team, Caller Bob sure posts about them enough.

See, an intelligent individual would say the ankle biter is the vaccinated Cubs fan who jumped into a White Sox thread to post vaccine gifs.
But, you're not intelligent so shame on me for expecting you to understand such nuance.

Have a good evening, FastPass Bob :D

What does not living in the state of Illinois have to do with anything? I was born in Chicago. Learned to play baseball there. Went to many White Sox games there and attended spring training in their minor league complex in Arizona. It took me a lot of years to get as pissed off as I am now with this shitty ownership.

Someone who left the state of Illinois saying "LET HIM LEAVE THE STATE OF ILLINOIS!" is strange. I'm sure people who actually go to games would rather they stay.

Jon Heyman was on with M&H this morning and they closed the interview by asking how responsible the Sox were for not doing adequate diligence on Clevinger.

His take was that if you looked into the guy’s background, you’d have found some stuff. Heyman’s Exhibit A was the time Clevinger went out to dinner with friends during COVID. If he’d do that, why wouldn’t he beat his wife?

That's kinda taking liberties with what he really said. But it's funny.

Covid has broken a lot of people’s intelligence.

He also alluded to some tweets that an ex put out while he was in Cleveland alleging similar behavior.

I’d have led with that over COVID dinner were I making Hayman’s case.

We keep hearing about privacy laws etc and how the White Sox couldn’t have known. But based on the rumors and stuff that was floating around, they certainly could/should have asked him during interviews whether he was currently under any investigation. If he lied and said no, then they would have grounds for voiding the contract.

I would think before signing a $12 million obligation, they'd hire a private detective to spend 1-2 days researching
