Yep, when do you think we will happen to see him around?

In the grand scheme of things, a baseball game should be so meaningless. But its not. At least not in this city. Maybe its the way people are brought up. Maybe its because sports gives people an escape from the everyday grind of work, marriage, or whatever. And there's so many of them, baseball games that is. They mean so little, but so much.

The Royals have been playing good Baseball lately. You never know. But the Sox have allowed the Twins the opportunity to now control their own destiny. If they sweep the Royals, the Sox need to not only sweep the Indians, but win the make-up game with Detroit as well. Sox fans have to pack U.S. Cellular and give them as much support as ever. If they do not show up and support their team, they deserve not to advance. Buy the tickets, get loud and support your team. They are still in it. They are even in the loss column with the Twins. The Sox need to re-group and get that refuse to lose mentality. If the Twins do win the Central, they did a hell of a job in this series. Beating Jenks as they did, was something I certainly did not expect to see. That Carlos Gomez, is one hell of a ballplayer. Morneau and Mauer get a lot of press, but Gomez is another big reason they swept this series. Now, time to get it together, dust themselves off and come out fighting at home against the Tribe.

The Sox blew it in the bottom of the 4th. Get gifts all over the place, score 6 to go up 5 runs, crowds out of it, and then give up 2 right away to make it a game again.

I've seen this most of the year. Jenks rarely comes in and goes 1-2-3. He's good for putting men on first and second usually. I think the Sox need to groom another closer, for Jenks' shelf-life is not long. Maybe Adam Russell or pickup K-Rod from the Angels and just go for it.
What a sad ending to an above expectations season.

No matter what happens in the next 3 days, I think it is time to shop Jenks in this offseason.

I think he is arbitration eligible this off season, and while his stock isn't as high as it's ever been (2005), it's certainly not low right now. I do think we'll start to see him level off quickly soon though. His strikeout total this year is not where it should be.

I can see a Jenks to Milwaukee trade happening this off season. Brewers have a pretty good and deep farm system.

A change in leagues is what this guy needs.
You know, Milwaukee is in need of a solid closer as Gagne is more like Gagme lately.
Could the sox use a Milwaukee player? Who would you want?

Nope. He's a free agent in 3 days. Or at least at the end of Oct. It would have to be a sign and trade, and CC sure as shit ain't doing that. He's hitting the market.

Jenks didn't get the job done last night, but he's also not supposed to be pitching 2+ innings. This goes back to the bullpen sucking, and the offense being unable to generate any runs unless they have 6 outs in an inning (like the 4th).
