I don't know if he is either, but we also have a 3 year sample size of Moncada being a .700 ops player. People keep hoping for the 2019 version to show up, when it's the only good season he's had in 6+ seasons. 2019 is the outlier, not the norm.
Agree. Terrible disappointment. Considering he was the centerpiece of the Chris Sale deal, Moncada has been a huge bust.

I think you bat him 7th or 8th and just hope he can play good defense while staying off the DL.

Burger doesn't have enough power to make up for his AWFUL defense. He was on pace for 24 home runs in 500 at bats last season. He had a negative WAR too.

He also broken his hand which likely would have zapped some of his power last year.

Burger is the typical 1B/bad defense White Sox draft pick. Zack Collins sucked too. They had Abreu, Vaughn, and still gave a ton of cash to Grandal. They never learn.

The Dodgers need a second baseman. Hahn should be on the phone offering Leury for pennies on the dollar.

More likely he’d have to pay dollars on the penny to dump Leury on them.

That's fine too. Now we just need a catcher to break a femur, move Grandal, and the Sox are in business!

It will be a year of AAAA catcher when Grandal gets hurt.

Larry Holmes, Bernstein, & Leila agreed with Elvis Andrus' saying "I'm not a babysitter". Leila chimed in about individual accountability. Then Larry saying they're all professional ballplayers. But aren't these the same Score hosts who praised Heyward for mentoring mid 20s grown men Cubs about who knows what?

Burger has more power than any player on the team. Put him in at 3rd and send Moncada to some other home. As for a "negative WAR", WAR is really a lame ass metric for a part time player which unfortunately Toe Knee and injuries did to him last season.

Looking at Moncada, he has the smallest "hotzone" imaginable as a hitter. He never chokes up. He never moves around in the box. Fails to hit the ball where pitched. IN short, the pitcher has to make a big mistake on pitch location. He's done.

Burger can hit and people forget that he had two injuries right away that would have crushed the average player. 3rd base is a power position in the line-up. Moncada can't hit and I am seeing a deterioration of his fielding ability. Face it. MONCADA IS JUST A LAZY POS.

But what about due process? Well this is what it looks like under a collective bargaining arrangement. But for those who prejudge outcomes, they will never be satisfied.

My reading of that article is they found some unsavory activity but not enough meat to suspend him. Looks like counseling is forthcoming.

It seems to be trickling out now about how fractured the White Sox were last year. I point to who else, Reinny's drinking buddy, TLR. It was fucking obvious from the get go. His hiring of TLR was horrific. Its going to be very hard to like this team

Mully and Haugh seem disappointed in the announcement and are intimating that the White Sox should now do their own investigation.

I heard that and was wondering why. Did the MLB under investigate? Is JR going to spend money on better investigators? The time to investigate was before they signed him.

Now he is ours, so you just deal with it. Demand he get counseling and follow up. Unlike a lot of problems, domestic violence is something that can be eliminated with counseling, developing coping mechanisms and a desire to be better. Lots of men, and the numbers are increasing, never learned how to be good husbands and fathers. No excuse but its teachable.

Even if Clev was found not guilty by a jury, the Score hosts would remind you not guilty does not mean innocent.

It wasn't too long ago that Abreu was the team leader, so important too the younger players by setting an example, etc. As of last Friday, the position now was that it wasn't on Abreu to say anything publicly or hold others accountable for the White Sox clubhouse. Seems a bit of a contradiction to give him this title as clubhouse leader, but then state that this comes with no actual known leadership.

It doesn't exactly take a course in parenting to know not to spit tobacco at your baby. I do have to say though, that one sounded so outrageous that it was an exaggeration

I'm not close to all of the details of this case, but the allegations are very severe. Did they find that they did not have enough evidence, only suspicsion/accusations, that these allegations existed so it's more of a he said/she said type argument?

Hosts on the Score don't like him already because he didn't obey the Covid policies. That's their underlying issue that he's a bad guy. They do mention that, bu then all mention they have sources saying how horrible he is is and how this is common knowledge.

And this is consistent with the results for the last two years. There was NOT any leadership on this team. I don't think there is any now. This notion of leadership in the age of privileged millionaire players is far fetched to me. Last year, players certainly dogged it and made more trips to the Dl than I ever seen. And the Sox did not do a damn thing about all of the dead wood on the roster and in my estimation they never will as long as THe owner has this team.

Here's the silver lining. Clevinger's future is the 1st 3 months. It's win or DFA.
