You gotta love it. First 2 guys on and then 2 outs with no advance. Wise hits it hard but it's right at the right fielder. Then we get the hit and can't score. Load the bases and leave 'em there.

It's always misery with the Sox this year. Even when they win. I'm saying this about a team that' been in first 90% of this season.

Plus this game is draging. So it's gonna be 4 hours of misery instead of the normal 3 hours.

At this rate, "That '70s Show" will be on "The U", featuring the guy who did the "Grinder" commercials...

I just love how this fucker, Baker, is gonna walk out of here with few runs let up even though he had nothing and was very hitable.

Of course. Konerko hits it 395 feet and it's caught. Why not? Just make it more painful to watch. Fuck it.

I don't know. It was hit hard, one bounce, on turf, to the outfielder. Alexi and Wise would have scored. Everybody else would have been close.

Alexi has had a solid game with the glove, as usual.

I'm telling you. They catch all of our line drives. Couldn't knock Baker out. Couldn't get to the pen. Baker is just a nothing fucker. Just nothing. Yet, the SOB went 7 innings and gave up 1 run.

Shit, our pitchers have no hitters into the 7th this year and end up with the loss.

I know I'm bitchin'.

Javy sucked today. We couldn't get a big hit. That's why we lost. Now I gotta wait 22 fuckin' hours to do this shit all over again. It will be torture tommorow as well. Hopefully we can win it by a fuckin' run.

What the fuck is Hawk talking about!?! I'm no fan of Steve Stone's but it will be nice to have someone in the booth who won't just say 'yeah' 'uh-huh' 'you're right' when he talks this fuckin crazy bullshit out of his ass. Teams play bad on the road because of their subconscience?? Shut the fuck up!

Yep, just hope they get it out of their system tonight and the Sox can come out and take the next 2.

It amazes me how excited Hawk got on that meaningless Griffey Home Run. I got a laugh out of that. Good ole Hawk. That moment helped kill the pain. The Hawk call. Not the homer run.

That was a shot by Junior.

I'm glad he hit it, because at least we have something to end the night on in with a positive tone.

For cryin' out loud it was one game. We haven't lost anything yet, and if I remember correctly we are still 1.5 games up on Minnesota. Even if we lose one of the next 2 we are still in front. Cleveland can't keep their streak going much longer, and we're coming home for 3 against them. Granted, the Twins have KC to beat up on, but if we can win 4 more games this season I think that half a game will be a huge factor.

And thanks to Dan Bernstein we know that there is no momentum that carries over in baseball games

I don't want to be Bernsie but c'mon. It meant nothing. It wasn't a good note. It won't help the Sox win tomorrow. The guy was just throwing it over the plate to get the game over with. Hoping Griffey would pop it up or ground it out. Griffey knew it. It was an easy homer. It was nothing.

Griffey will look bad at the plate tommorow. Although, I'll bet Ozzie doesn't play him tomorrow.

Yeah, its one game. The result doesn't bother me near as much as how they got to that result. To me, they looked lifeless. And I hate to use these terms, but I can't think of anything else to say: no fire, no passion. Once Kubel hit that first HR, it looked like they just rolled over and said collectively, "Well we never win here anyway, so this game is lost."

Javy is an asshole. This offense sucks. Again with the fucking rundowns. They were dominated tonite. And even though they were up 1-0, they were never in this game. They got the 1 run on a double play ball.

If they had lost a close, hard faught game thats one thing. To lose the way they did today, being so close to clinching a division title is inexcusable.

If we win 1 game here we just have to go 2-2 to force a playoff with Minnesota. That's assuming the Twins sweep the Royals. They won't do that.

If the Twins take 2 out of 3 from the Royals and we go 2-2 we win the division. Of course, only if we get 1 win in this series will that apply.
