Wilson Betemit...From the outhouse in Kansas City to the penthouse in Detroit...Why was Betemit so bad at baseball when he and Joshua Fields shared third base when he was here 2 years ago?

I'm pretty sure Wilson Betemit is still bad at baseball.

SJ, Betemit is still bad at baseball...The White Sox' Mark Teahen...Not much better. If it were up to me, Teahen's positions would be second base to give Gordon Beckham an occasional breather, first base to give Paul Konerko and/or Adam "The Strikeout Machine" Dunn a rest from the lineup, and/or right field. The Scott Bakula-looking Brent Morel is the future at third for the Sox.

I think the only reason why third base has become a platoon for the White Sox is because despite 3 hits last night, Morel's overall offensive production has been sorely lacking, just like other guys wearing silver and black. Besides, Teahen's earning a lot of money...and is as bad at baseball as Betemit in the other dugout.

With his apparent lack of power, I just can't see that, Shark.

I don't blame Peavy. He had a serious surgery. It's amazing he is where he is. It's up to the manager to know his obvious limitations. Hell, radio hosts who only work three days a week know them.

I know he's a major leaguer and all and hitting baseballs is what he does to pay for that 27,000 sq ft house but sonofabitch it amazes me how Konerko can just stand there in the box down 1 and 2 in the count with a guy that can throw 98 on the mound and just be able to stay back when he throws a curveball and hit the effing thing 400 ft. He didnt even flinch, like he knew it was coming. Amazing

But he didn't wet the bed. He gave you a good outing for where he is right now. All the numbers tell you his outer limit is 75-80 pitches. I don't expect that to be the case next season after he's another year removed from that surgery. You wouldn't ask Thornton or Santos to throw 100 pitches. It doesn't mean they don't have value. You can't get that out of Peavy right now either.
