I think he might see a bump in his stats this year moving to the NL. The NL West would have been the his best move but I think this will work. However, the mid season break down may be exacerbated by the Miami weather.

I am sad to see Buerhle go, but the Sox are better off not paying him another $50+ million for 4 years. Maybe if they had went to him last year they could have gotten him to sign a 2 year $25mil deal or something.

The guy was great and I wish him nothing but the best. At this point in his career and at the point where the Sox are at right now it was best that both parties moved along without eachother.

it was smart to let buerhle go, he will do pretty good for 2 years in the n.l. and 2 years not so goo... but he would be getting thumped in the a.l. the next 4 years...i think most people agree that buerhle is an o.k. number or a very good number 3 starter..he was never an ace.
