There is no way upon God's green and verdant Earth that they put Humber back in the rotation right away.
Right?
Maybe he could take Axelrod's spot until Danks returns. The only thought that could possibly be given to removing Quintana from the rotation would be if they really felt they needed a reliable lefty in the pen. That currently doesn't seem to be a problem with Thornton pitching as well as he has in awhile and Septimo looking good so far. Quintana is recording a lot of outs right where he is. The idea that Humber "deserves" to get his job back is crackpot stuff. Is Morel going to replace Youkilis too?
the south side asylum had a tweet from a game within the last week where it noted that brent morel just struck out while watching the game at home. that was brilliant.

i'd stick with that. basically quintana is in a spot where you have to ride with this.... i compare him to brandon beachy only insomuchas he didn't have some OMFG pedigree or anything, but when the kid was called up to the show and given a chance he pitched like he never wanted to go back down to the pen/minors again, just like brandon beachy did at the end of the 10 season. obviously beachy blew out his arm, but need i remind people that beachy was the early favorite for NL cy young before he blew out his arm?
simply put, you can't fuck with quintana now. that yankees start was still a+ cuz he gave up 3ER to his original team in the first inning or whatever, and he battled and kept the sox in the game which they would end up coming back and winning. that's brilliant stuff, and i'm sorry but when it's 150 degrees out the ball is jumping out of the cell and you're able to do a 2-1 win over the rangers? you ride that til the wheels fall off
