Get those big cocksuckers that hit the fucking ball out the ballpark so you can't make any goddamn mistakes.

This season is ovah! Thank God Thome wasn't around to clog the bases for the Sox.

Stone just called that pitch a "first ball fastball". That's not correct, is it?

That's 3 games the Sox lost without Bobby. Hope they make a decision on him soon......

It was an 0-1 pitch.

No, it was pitch #2 I believe.

Nope. Just re-wound it. It was 0-1. He probably would have benefitted from a play-by-play guy calling that one a little better.

edit: oopsies, just saw your responses JORR and RFDC.

It seemed to be going awfully fast when it cleared the stadium

Good point. Probably still moving pretty fast, actually.

I think this was about the best game of the series.

Translation, it was time to change the title of the thread.

Again, proving the stereotype completely false, the Sox fan finds a way to turn a crushing loss to the team they are battling for 1st place - into a post about the Cubs and their fans.

I just can't figure out why they say those things about you Sox fans. Totally baseless!

Seeing as the Cub are winning very little as of late, I have to get pleasure where I can.

Just to add a little whip cream to the sundae, Hudson goes 7 gives up 3 runs and strikes out 10 against the first place Reds with the very good offense.

And the Sun-Times back page today was this article comparing Thome to the White Sox DH by committee:

Yea I gotta call bullshit on this one. Pretty sure he is responding to your baiting posts, not the game.

To be fair, it was the only entertaining game on TV tonight.

I'm not rooting against the sox, I just want to hear Hawk all pissed off. I caught the dagummit after the double play, he sailed through the bottom of the 9th. Then I got distracted and forgot to watch for a few minutes and it was over. It had to be classic Hawk, yelling like a god damn fool after taking the lead only to be ultimately silenced. I also enjoyed the yesssss, hell yessss I heard during the highlights.

A truely disheartening loss. The offense scored enough runs for a change. But once again the bullpen failed to get the job done. This was one of the strongest bullpens in baseball, but it's fallen on it's face too many times lately. Having Thome deliver the bomb, made the pill that much harder to swallow, I imagine. Another great game by Alexei though. He's been playing about as well as anyone in Baseball, since June. Minnesota just seems to have their number. It's uncanny how many times the Twins have turned games around after the game SEEMED to be lost. It was a great game though. It's nice to be able to actually enjoy that kind of game, without all the angst that goes with rooting for one side or the other. Just sit back and enjoy a good game....I hope the next couple are as good.
