Ozzie actually said that he doesn't pay attention to pitch counts... only innings.
So if your starter throws 50 pitches in the first two innings, you still need 5 more.
He was defending leaving Peavy out there by saying he needed one more inning.
I don't think it would be out of line saying that Ozzie mismanaged the pitching staff into a loss last night.

It looks like Mark Teahen...Good riddance! Teahen & Edwin Jackson are apparently Toronto-bound in exchange for Jason Frasor and prospects.

There was also talk about De Aza also going to St. Louis as one of the prospects in the much-rumored, speculated Colby Rasmus deal with Jackson, but that's not the case.

Viciedo has a thumb injury.

He didn't have an injured thumb 3 weeks ago when they needed him.

Actually, the injury Viciedo sustained happened over the weekend. It's not believed to be serious, but I thought I heard it was similar to what he suffered during Spring Training.

SCORE Producer Herb Lawrence won't be happy to see "Der Kommissar" as he referred to Edwin Jackson going to Toronto. The deal is official. Jackson and 3B/1B/RF Mark Teahen are indeed Toronto-bound for reliever Jason Frasor and minor leaguer(?) Zach Stewart.

Nobody cares what Herb Lawrence thinks.

Alejandro De Aza's call-up and starting today vs. the Tigers in center field is only the beginning. Alex Rios might be sitting for quite sometime, unless the White Sox eat the bulk of his remaining salary and cut their losses before Sunday's MLB Trade Deadline.

He may be batting 8th this afternoon, but CF Alejandro De Aza might be a candidate for this team's new leadoff hitter...once LF Juan Pierre follows Ozzie down to Miami.

With the Sox looking to shed salary, this will probably happen assuming De Aza doesn't piss this opportunity down his leg for the rest of this season.
