Mother fucking Beckham. Twice this series he's made the last out with the tying run either on the bases or at the plate. Get a clutch hit you mop haired fuck!

Unfortunately, Beckham's strikeout to end this 5-3 loss in Baltimore was the White Sox 11th of this ballgame. He came through big time last night, and earlier in this ballgame with an RBI single before the roof caved in on Jose Quintana.

The Orioles won 6 of the 8 meetings in the season series. Buck Showalter's Orioles have owned the Sox literally since he left Bristol, CT and that analyst gig he had on ESPN's "Baseball Tonight".

I thought Jerry owned the Sox. Big Fan is going to have to start to get pissed at the Orioles now.

That's not what I meant. The Orioles have owned the White Sox in the last couple of years since Showalter took over as manager in Baltimore.

Umm, because they are 2.5 games behind the Sox with a big series coming up against them this weekend. Coupled with the fact that are hitters and pitchers have decided to not play good baseball causes me some concern.

Well, the last time the White Sox went to Detroit, they got swept and the Tigers took over first place in the AL Central 1 month ago. Might history repeat itself?

I don't think "literally" literally means what SHARK thinks it does.

It's something I've noticed since Buck Showalter took over midway through the 2010 season, his Orioles have absolutely owned the White Sox record wise. I think the O's have dominated the Sox since the teams played at Camden Yards right after Buck left ESPN's "Baseball Tonight". I don't think I'm hallucinating when I mention this.

That's all fine and good SHARKie, but that is still a figurative owning. Not literal.

If they didn't play like they had their heads up their asses that could be 5 games. But the White Sox went into Baltimore and choked.

Don't you think Tiger fans are saying the same thing? The great team got beat by Kansas City. Maybe it's time to stop mocking Chen and Guthrie and just accept that they're very capable pitchers. Darkside and RPB have assured me that Detroit's offense is far superior to that of the Sox (ask anyone), so I'm waiting for them to score more runs than the feeble White Sox offense.

I understand. It's just frustrating to watch the Sox complete back to back sweeps and then get their shit pushed in by Baltimore. It is a "what could have been" thing for me, if they, at the very least, split the series we are looking at a 4 game lead and a decent cushion going into the Tigers series.

Also, in the end, I don't see the Tigers as all that great of a team. How long have the pundits and such been saying "Well, I mean, the Tigers just haven't been playing like they should yet."

I agree. We watch the Sox everyday. I'm sure both of us could come up with ten heartbreaking games the Sox should have had that would have the division all but locked up. But the guy that watches the Tigers can almost certainly do the same thing for his team. We hate Thornton. They hate Coke.

I think the Sox and Tigers are pretty similar. I thought that before the season. I just don't want it to get down to where it's so close at the end that Cabrera can make the difference. He's the best player in the series.

This seems like a charmed season for the Sox. All those games with Detroit and they've only caught Verlander once. Sunday will be the second time and Leyland had to fuck up his rotation to make it happen. And every heretofore worthless bum that Kenny sticks in a Sox uniform suddenly hits and fields like Mantle or pitches like Ford. They've caught a lot of breaks. Let's hope it keeps going.
