The 93 rotation...

You have your ace (McDowell/Sale)
Your highly regarded draft pick (Fernandez/Rodon)
Your workhorse (Alvarez/Quintana)
Your wild card (Bere/Latos)

Now they just need to take Danks out back and shoot him.

I hope Carson Fulmer isn't the Scott Ruffcorn...

I still wonder what would have happened if Lamont started Alvarez & Bere in games 1 & 2 of the ALCS instead of the clearly fading McDowell & Fernandez. :x

Danks is the Kirk McCaskill/Tim Belcher of the rotation

I can remember having that thought at the time. McDowell was limping into the postseason. But that's a tough spot for any manager. Especially with a prickly bastard like McDowell. You're gonna pass up your lead dog for another guy in that spot, I don't know.

Mc Dowell at his best could not touch Sale. On the other hand, I'd take Fernandez and Alvarez over the current guys

I think McDowell's pugilistic endeavors would agree with that assessment.

not sure what McDowell would be as a 6/7 inning pitcher.

Don't look now but Chris Sale doesn't seem to a 6-7 inning pitcher anymore.
