Fucker is 1 and 4. Can't have this on the best pitching staff in baseball. |

23, might have a little Samardzja in him, one day he will learn to get guys out, you dont have to throw 96, 97... Just amazed the greatest pitching coach ever hasnt straightened him out yet. |

The funny thing is I don't know a single Sox fan who is the slightest bit concerned about Rodon. Every Cub fan is worried about John Lackey. |

the only "rivalry" more nauseating to listen to off the top of my head would be memphis/tennessee fans. but cubs/sox fans can speak better. Scooter wrote: Where you been you bark chewing asswipe? Did I tell you to go fuck off yet? You sttill homo? well, nevermind. |

The thing I noticed with Rodon last night is that he nibbles way too much. if you throw 96 and 97, it's ok to work outer half versus trying to paint the black every pitch. That's why he throws so many pitches - watched him in one inning go to 3-2 on 3-4 batters in a row. |

Lackey is 3-1 and only gave up 2 runs in 8 innings in his last start. He was 9th in Cy Young voting last season. I'm a Cubs fan and not worried about Lackey at all. He's had a couple rough starts, and he will have a couple more. But overall, I expect he will have a solid season. Lackey has a proven track record, Rodon is more uncertain. Rodon has good stuff, but he gets behind in the count too often and then in a predictable count throws his fastball and OUCH!!! Seems to be getting a bit fleshy these days too. Put the fork down Carlos. |

Put the fork down Carlos. Worried about Lackey? Why would anyone worry about Lackey? I'll tell you why I'm not worried about Lackey. I'm not worried about Lackey because you should be worried about Rodon. See the reason Lackey gives me nothing to worry about is that Rodon has no track record. If Rodon didn't get behind in the count so often I'd probably worry about Lackey a little bit more, even if Rodon has such great stuff he just gets too wild for me to worry that much about Lackey. I mean, sometimes with Rodon its like OUCH!!!!! but it never makes me worry about Lackey. Did I mention I dont worry about Lackey? |

It looked like the ump was squeezing him but I couldn't tell from where I sat. Rodon certainly thought so because he was jawing at the ump from the outset of the game. What did it look like on TV? |

Like he was getting squeezed early...I became otherwise occupied when the score was still 2-1 though...by the time I came back to the game, Boston was up. |

What I see with Rodon is he gets rattled very easily when shit isn't going smoothly. |

The art of pitching isn't to make them swing at strikes, it is to make them swing at balls (hey, hey) That works great against undisciplined hitters and hitters in protect mode with 2 strikes already on them. But early in a count against a disciplined hitter, throwing the ball a few inches off the black just means getting behind and in a predictable count where the hitter can tee off. |

Steve prefers throwing his ball right at the black. |
