The holes he left on his roster have been exposed. This is a common theme of the Rick Hahn era. Lack of a left handed impact bat. Exposed. Lack of starting pitching. Exposed. Lack of bullpen depth. Holy fuck has this been exposed. The team got off to a great start and Hahn watched it slip away while he sat on his hands and did absolutely nothing. Any time he wants to make a move to improve this shit fuck roster before they piss away .500 will be ok with me. |

Most disturbing is the fact the drafting & development haven't gotten any better. In fact, may have gotten worse if that is possible. |

CATCHER. Avila = 0.0 WAR Navarro = (0.1) WAR Flowers = 0.4 WAR I thought a platoon of those two would be an improvement over Flowers. |

The Sox have definitely gotten better at producing ML talent. Trayce Thompson and Marcus Semien are both above average starters, both play good defense* and have socked a combined 17 HR this year. The Sox have gotten 4 HR combined out of Saladino, Rollins and Jackson. You'd have a hard time telling me this team wouldn't KILL to have Bassitt, Wendleken, Erwin, Montas (who knows if Bassitt or Montas would still be hurt, the Sox have one strength and that's keeping players healthy) etc. hanging out on the farm as bullpen arms right now. Or that Phegley wouldn't be extremely useful. Nah, the Sox just spend years developing these guys and then ship them off right when its time for them to contribute. Maybe there was no way of getting Frazier without giving up Montas and/or Trayce, but I really doubt it. The Samardzija trade was a disaster. The Lawrie trade still looks pretty good, at least. *Semien has improved dramatically since Oakland decided to permanently make him a SS and not bounce him all over the diamond |

Thompson was drafted in 2009, Semien 2011. How's things looking the past 3-4 years? |

Rodon looks fine Anderson is probably a top 20 MLB prospect Fulmer is struggling, but the fanbase had some deluded expectations about his merits as a SP/how long it would take to develop him as a SP Danish is coming along Adams is coming along Petricka is probably the Sox best BP arm now |

Of course Keyser will not give any blame to Robin. Or to Kenny who hired Robin. |

Hahn has absolutely no idea how to build a baseball team. I don't think I want him making any more short term fix trades. Just play the damn season out. |

the lack of ability of this organization to develop position players is frightening.... and there is no accountability either for the terrible farm system. Hell the only way to get fired from the white sox farm system is to take kickbacks from players. |

Kenny did it throughout his reign, and now it is happening after he got a promotion. I don't think Hahn wants to trade a bunch of prospects for players. JMO |

Ya, considering their #1 need was RP at the moment, trading for a 5th starter or if you want to call him the 3rd or 4th, made no sense. #1 RP #2 5th starter #3 hitter Yet, the Sox trade for #2. You don't think IF the Sox are in contention this year, NY doesn't have 2 guys with the ability to close you could get? |

I also agree. The worst thing that could have happened, DID happen. They were overly hot out of the gate...fool's gold. This would make Kenny delusional in how close they are to competing. I do think Rick would like to build a deeper system, but I'd be curious as to know how the Sox compare in terms of their INVESTMENT. do they have a deep investment in Scouting and development to truly build up and development young players. Given the pure numbers of drafted players converting to MLB I don't think they do. |

The Sox have great starting pitching and 2 offensive players. One has struggled for most of the season. The Sox need to upgrade the offense. You can't win without scoring runs. It puts too much pressure on the pitchers. |

I'm coming around to JORR's idea that Quintana and Sale are born losers and the Sox should cash those checks in now for maximum return. I'd send Eaton, Melky and Robertson (salary dump, someone will take him) away too. Hopefully Shields does well and can be flipped. Keep Frazier and Lawrie, those are the two guys on the Sox that I think have a good attitude and care about winning games. Abreu is worthless atm, so may as well keep him. Rodon may as well stick around too. Everyone else except Zach Duke is walking at the end of the year... nobody is taking Zach Duke off the White Sox hands. I think a lineup of the absolute monster haul the Sox get for Eaton, Quintana and Sale combined with Frazier, Abreu and Lawrie would be something else. The rotation would need some work, Sox probably looking at a 1-2-3 of Rodon-Fulmer-Adams (maybe, they'd have to push him hard) but its a start. The bullpen would need a complete rebuilding, thank god. Point is, I think the Sox would be a better team in 2017 without Sale, Quintana, Eaton, Melky and Robertson than they would be with them. This wouldn't be a Cubs style multi-year rebuild...couple right shakes in tomorrow's draft (aka Ray falls to 10) and next year's starting lineup could be... DH- Abreu C- Blake Swihart (for Sale) 1B- Frazier 2B- Lawrie SS- Anderson 3B- Joey Gallo (for Quintana) RF- Andrew Benintendi (for Sale) CF- Corey Ray LF- Somebody, I dont know Plus an absolutely loaded farm system because the headliner of the Sale trade (Moncada) would probably be in AA to start next year and I'm not even counting what they could get for Eaton, which is probably a lot. That's a better position player group than they have now. |

How did Kenny Williams build the White Sox organization after 2005? Is the stay mediocre mandate coming all the way from the top? I'm a Cubs fan, but it's always nice to have a second team to watch in the playoffs. Would love to see Cubs/White Sox World Series before I die. |
