Sox take 2 of 3.

Don't need the Sox to go on a long winning streak (though it would be nice), but they just need to string some series victories together.

If they can have a good weekend, they can end up back in first with Cleveland playing KC

Supposed to be at the game tomorrow.

Anything less than a sweep is bad, and I'm not sure the Sox will win a single one of these games. Hope I'm wrong, but Sale is falling apart and Quintana is back to having absolutely no luck.

Melky out for the series due to family emergency. Hope everything works out OK for him.

Meanwhile they called up Kahnle (sigh) instead of Coats, so get ready for Shuck and Sands in the same OF.

Good thing they dodged that Upton bullet. I just looked at his numbers, he's hitting like Kate.

BAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA. "Hey, you know that guy that came in during a tight game last week and was completely and utterly ineffective and blew what little lead remained? Here he is again in a close game, late."

Fantastic bullpen management, Robin.

Two days ago screwed everything up going 13. All 3 Mets games were close. Yes, off day yesterday but who knows if those guys were good to go.

It's on Hahn to get more arms.

No, sorry, tired bullpen arms isn't a good enough excuse to go with that zero in a close game after an off-day.

Seemed like robin was rolling the dice quite a bit. I thought he left Rodon on one batter too many to make it 4-2. Let the next guy throw 40 pitches and barely leaving the game 6-2. Robin may be damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. But neither reliever had anything and he left them out to sink or swim.

Rodon is officially a bust.

Dan Jennings, Zach Putnam, and Zach Duke all pitched an inning or less in that 13-inning game, then had an off-day. I'm counting those three as "available" for late in a close game tonight, and Robin went with the reliever with a career 4.23 FIP who wet his pants on the mound just a week earlier.

Has someone told robin he can switch pitchers mid inning? That could explain a lot.

I think the Tigers are too far out to jump into first even with a sweep.
