Well, what they have at SS has been pretty bad, so why not give the kid a chance? In the short run it could cost them, as Anderson may make a few errors that someone like Rollins might not. But they are not going anywhere, so might as well get the kid some experience.

No, this is the second time he has had some info early. The first time was Danks being DFA'd

Neither exactly stepped out on a limb. Is it hard to connect promoting Tim Anderson with designating Rollins?

And everyone has access to Twitter.

He posted this last nite before the transactions were out on Twitter. Same with Danks.

You are wrong here.

Tim Anderson was kept out of the Charlotte game last night.

Pull up "Tim Anderson #whitesox" on Twitter posts from last night.

It was a popular topic.

Here is one tweet, of hundreds...

That was at 1pm yesterday.

Another at noon:

I had Danks too. And there are people on Twitter saying the Cubs are gonna trade Albert Almora and Jorge Soler for Mike Trout, are they legit too?

looks pretty good already, blazing fast on that triple. Not perfectly polished yet, but a great start. The Detroit radio guys were very impressed.

Start the rebuild now, while Anderson develops. White Sox can be good again in 2018-2019.

He'd be like their Starlin Castro: someone young the fans will come out and watch play in the hopes that he'll be with the team forever, when in reality he will be, with good scouting and drafting, obviated at his position in short order. And hey, if he can turn a corner and compete with the prospects nabbed in a rebuild, all the better.

I was thinking more along the lines of Rickey Henderson or Honus Wagner.

Are you giving up on him at SS and moving him to CF?

If he wants to play CF and become Mike Trout then that is fine.

Are you saying that Sox players decide where they play and team management has no input.

He can be the black Robin Yount.

Post subject:  Re: Anderson

So after seeing Anderson up for his first 50 PA's (well 49, but w/e) I feel a bit better about the lack of walks. This is not Avisail Garcia just swinging wildly. Anderson actually has good plate discipline insofar as he will wait for the fastball he wants to hit and lay off anything else. He can also flat out hit the baseball, just a natural with the stick.

As long as he doesn't start drowning there wont be many reasons to be upset with him this year. But going forward, especially if he's going to be a leadoff man, he's either going to have to learn how to work a BB (or at least let pitchers give him first base) or maintain a .350 batting average. If he's that rare guy who can just use his bat to get on base consistently more power too him, he certainly has the bat/speed combination to make that possible. But plenty of guys have had that bat/speed combination and failed to maintain a good OBP because hitting .350 is incredibly difficult.

Why does he have to be the BLACK Robin Yount? Why can't he just be ROBIN YOUNT?

I don't know, but that reads pretty racial.
