JORR says that Shields gave the Sox a great chance to win tonight. couldn't get the W for himself but kept his team in it from the start until the Sox could scratch in a run... or did Shields give up those 6 runs in 2 innings knowing the bats would play tonight? Pitcher W/L is anything but straightforward. |

This result was highly forseeable and should cost Hahn his job. He had done a great job of living through and eliminating shit contracts. The promised land was there and then boom, take on another shit contract (although it has been ameliorated) |

There has to be an injury in here somewhere. He wasn't that bad with SD until his last start with them. This is historically bad. Could he have decided his career is over and he is throwing games until he gets his dfa? |
