Now that they stink, the narrative is that these players have been poorly skilled players over the last 4.33 years and that the losses are not due to Robin.

Highly doubt Ventura will be back. Need something to show the fanbase that they still care.

How to show us they care. Spend some money on a good FA and stop trading for guys.

As for free agents, that era is pretty much over. Players are aging like normal human beings now and the average 32 year old guy is past his prime. Teams are controlling the best players as long as possible and when they are up for free agency they're generally a poor value. Like Jason Heyward, who I believe was considered the premier free agent in last year's group.

He's done nothing to warrant him for any baseball related job and neither St. Don Cooper's espionage or coaching skills have resulted in anything either, so away with both of them.

1. "The Cubs" didn't play the song. They are liable for the song being played, but they didn't "do" it, knowingly or negligently. The song being played says absolutely ZERO about how much they "really" care about DV.

2. Maybe, maybe not, that's a matter of taste. The radio edit exists for a reason, and outside of the ambiguous and aggressive lyrics, its a pretty decent electronic/drum and bass techno song. Like what "Smokin'" is to Rock n' Roll. Is "Semi-Charmed Life" similarly banned? What about "Self-Esteem"?

3. Aroldis Chapman didn't play the song. He (likely) didn't request the song to be played. The song being played says absolutely ZERO about whether Chapman really is a decent guy as offered up by his teammates.
