Hired! If Coop, Steverson, Boston, McEwing, Hahn and Williams are still all on board what's really the difference? He can recount Shields getting lit up 13-0 next year in Spanish? |

I like the hire of Renteria. But I don't think it really matters if the rest of the goof troop is allowed to return. Great, you kicked one clown out of the car. There is still 15 more of them left inside. |

You can't just lose every year and keep your job. I won't be thrilled with or upset about Renteria. He can write down a lineup as well as anyone. I hope the players can hit. |

Joking aside, Robin really can't be that surprised, can he? Even if he would have had a winning record this season, why keep him? We all pretty much figured this out with the hiring of RR as a bench coach. However, there does seem to still be layers of disfunction above the manager position? |

This is a good move for the White Sox, but as others have said until Kenny is gone...not sure it matters a ton. He will get more out of the roster, but the roster still isn't playoff caliber. |

Until it actually happens, I will operate under the assumption that Kenny will still be in charge. |

"May finally becoming" - gotta love when somebody attempts to insult another's intelligence and sounds like a dipshit in the process. |

So, without the Google machine and thinking out loud here - Has anybody ever managed both Cubs and Sox before? |

Godfella wrote: So, without the Google machine and thinking out loud here - Has anybody ever managed both Cubs and Sox before? Don Kessinger played for the Cubs, managed Sox. Same with LaRussa. I think in the early 1900's the Sox had a former Cub as manager but I didn't use google. |

The best Cubs manager,Frank Chance was also hired to manage the pale hose. Hall of Famer Frank Chance was hired to manage the team for the 1924 but illness forced him to retire before managing any games |
