2B? That position was competently filled this season both offensively and defensively.

RF? Eaton is your RF. CF should be the position they are looking to fill.

C, but they cannot tie up a vet for many years. It has to be a two year of less contract and you know what that kind of contract get you.

DH...always. I wouldn't mind a guy who could play first, third and corner OF positions. I'd prefer Abreu take the DH spot.

SP is done. They aren't signing anyone other than to minor league contracts as backup plans. Gonzalez was a good back end of the rotation arm this year as he has been historically. Shields sucks.

Narvaez could be a player. I doubt he will be a star, but could be a good role player.

2B- Saladino and Sanchez are not everyday players and Lawrie is below avg, injury prone and expensive. an upgrade is needed.

RF- they need a left handed power bat to hit between Abreu and Frazier. That should come from your right fielder.

C- agreed but they need to find better than Navarro/ Avila. Shouldn't be too difficult.

SP- I'm not banking on Gonzalez to have a repeat season so they need depth when him and Shields shit the bed and not shit fucks like Jacob Turner and Anthony Renaudo.

Eaton is your right fielder.

You need to bring in a competent CF or at least somebody compelling enough to drive a competition with Tilson in ST.

They will use Saladino and/or Sanchez and/or Lawrie at 2b. They had production out of that combination. Ideally you use Lawrie while he's healthy, then you get good enough production out of Saladino when he'll be called upon. If you can find an upgrade at 2B, you look for it, but it may not be the most glaring weakness on the team.

Abreu needs to DH, which means you'll be looking for a 1B.

I don't see much movement on the SP front, but they will likely bring in some reclamation projects to try and unseat Shields.

They will return injured 'pen arms in Petricka and Putnam, which is valuable. They'll need to add a couple more.

Narvaez would be a perfect backup right now as he continues to develop. A starting C would be a perfect upgrade.

By priority, you need first help at CF and C. Then your pen. Then 1B. Then 5th starter. Then if you aren't satisfied enough, 2B.

They had what was considered an excellent draft in 2016. Build on that

The White Sox sent RHP Jacob Turner outright to Triple-A Charlotte.

Not nearly far enough.

Sale acted like a petulant child when he cut up their throwback uniforms. Then he tried to justify his actions by saying they were uncomfortable and would have negatively impacted his performance. They wisely did not make a huge deal of it and chose to wait till winter to deal him. This way, they can have all the other teams bidding for him, rather than only the handful that might have at the deadline. He will be gone, and I expect Abreau and Frazier may also go. A full rebuild. Quintana might go, but with his club friendly deal and with his great disposition (never complains about a lack of run support or anything else ....including uniforms), he may be retained. but Robertson should go, if they can find a taker. Eaton and Cabrerra should go too. Complete rebuild...

A total rebuild makes no sense given the starting pitching the Sox have.

If the Sox jumped out and signed Dexter Fowler, got a real DH, and a couple bullpen arms, they'd be contenders.

Its makes perfect sense given that you trade some/most of that pitching for MANY prospects. In two years this team could be real good. Going after a DH, bullpen arms, and spending money on old players is exactly what they have done for years now. Do you realize It has not worked?

Its time for something different from the Sox and you.
