2000-2008. There is no more rivalry anymore. It's over. The Sox have unfortunately been buried and are rendered completely irrelevant in perpetuity. The best hope for the franchise to become a serious business is to move to another city. They can develop a rivalry with Milwaukee or Arizona or Miami.

I know. Just how I feel after last year. Donated all dozen or so of my White Sox jerseys to the Salvation Army. It's no more a rivalry than Michigan-Western Michigan is a rivalry. One is a serious team and the other the perpetual annoyance that may nip the alpha in the heel once in a while but can't be taken seriously. No serious free agents will ever, ever (channeling my inner Chris Jericho) consider coming to play for a team that will be perpetually ignored. Only with a change of scenery can this franchise ever attract any free agents greater than the Dioner Navarro's of the world.
