I don't think it will be very long before Tim Anderson is mentioned among the most complete players in baseball. He can handle any pitch in the strike zone and the ball rockets off his bat. His defense is improving and he is already an elite baserunner. Better pitch recognition will come with more AB's and when that happens he'll be a force. |

Do you think he'll be better than Zoilo Versalles? How about Yoan Moncada or Eloy Jiminez? |

Complete player? Not sure I'd agree, swings at everything. Bright future for sure, talented dude. |

He's a position player drafted by the Sox. He will be injured and/or bad. |

He'll be lucky to have the career Juan Uribe had. |

He needs to learn to take a walk, and control the strike zone. I'm also not convinced he can stay at SS |

Apologist wrote: He needs to learn to take a walk, and control the strike zone. I'm also not convinced he can stay at SS I don't think he needs to radically alter his approach at the plate. If he can strike out just a little less and draw a few more walks his offense should be better than the average shortstop. I agree about his defensive position, although he has looked better over there than I think anyone expected. |

I'm looking forward to seeing him play. Stubhub has lower corner seats in Sections 110 and 154 for as low as $10 for summer Monday night games, vs. $20+ticketmaster online. Beats going to a bar, and I can get my walking in instead of going to XSport. |

Apologist wrote: He needs to learn to take a walk, and control the strike zone. I'm also not convinced he can stay at SS He does such damage on pitches in or or near the strike zone that as long as he cuts down on his K's he'll be fine. I think he'll be a .300/.330/.490, 40 SB SS without improving his K rate significantly. |

About a week ago KLaw wrote an article about guys who have made noticeable adjustments at spring training and Anderson was one of the guys he mentioned. I would have been interested in reading what he was doing differently. |

I'd be disappointed if Anderson wasn't a better ball player than that juiced up turd Uribe. |

Well, his speed is going to set him apart from Castro offensively and I wouldn't be so sure he has a better glove. But if he hits like Castro I'd be fine with that. |
