It's possible this team wasn't as good as their 13-9 start suggested. Hopefully they get Rodon back and bring up Mocada to help right the ship. |

More than possible. I didn't think they would have a six game win streak at any point in the season. That was the high water mark. |

Based on two games? Avi is back today. Baseball is a long season. |

Please no, its such a pleasure being able to care and check the scores, watch and attend games...don't want this to disappear like the last few years. |

Prior to 2005, one of my favorite seaons was when Torborg first struck silver in 1990 and had a team that started generally error free baseball. They pitched and hit well enough to get 94 wins to surprise MANY. That wasn't enough to threaten the A's but it was damn good entertainment. If this team can play in that vein for a good while, I'm basically ok. |

Your 2017 will be a lot more enjoyable if you keep your focus on Charlotte and Birmingham. |

They are not going to be able to win games started by Dylan Covey and Mike Pelfrey, and nobody other than Dunning is doing well in the minors right now so its not like help is on the way. |

Carson Fulmer is 3-1 and has only given up 1 earned run in each of his last three starts. Shields will be back soon. I've not heard about Rodon. But the help does not have to be just in pitching. Moncada hitting begin Avi would be an improvement over Asche. |

As far as I'm concerned Rodon is done for the season and the Sox are holding that information back. Fulmer is doing alright at Charlotte, not great but the walks are down and that's the important thing for him. I would still wait another month or two before calling him up. The "close to the majors" guys were Giolito and Lopez. Giolito is being rebuilt from the ground up, so the prospects of seeing him in 2017 are growing pretty dim. Lopez is walking too many people to be called right now. |

Rodon might as well have the surgery and get it over with. |

Moncada, Giolito, Kopech, Lopez, Fulmer, Collins... they're just bigger stories than anything happening at 35th and Shields right now. It is what it is. Cubs fans went through this in 2013 and 2014. It'll work out for you. Enjoy the ride. |

Despite the presence of Todd Frazier, I like this team. By far the most likable of recent vintage they've rolled out. Just too many unfunny Latinos for my liking. |
