Frank Thomas was a better hitter than Albert Pujols. |

Albert is a juicer, so I'll agree...but numbers wise, Pujols will bust all his accomplishments. |

Agreed. Frank Thomas is the best right handed, non juicer, of the modern era. So in the last 30 years or so. Cuz Albert and Manny were on drugs. Frank wasn't. |

Alex Rodriguez has to be in the discussion for best right handed hitter of the last thirty years, juicing aside. |

Frank's slugging percentage was termed "Ruthian"....and then the juicers came and made it look like nothing. |

These are fun arguments to have but I think if Frank Thomas was offered the chance to jump in the delorean and head back to the mid 90s, he would pop so many steroids it would make Bonds blush. |

why is frank 100% innocent? I get he is a big dude but he easily could have been a cheater just like a lot of his co-workers were during his playing days. |

There is as much of a chance of him using as Greg Maddux. You can't prove a negative but you can still have tiers and Frank clearly makes the lowest tier of players who may or may not have used.

Wasn't Frank the only active player to willingly speak to Mitchell Report investigators? |

My first blush says Pujols. But I just looked up their numbers to remind myself how great Frank was. I can't believe his career OBP is well above .400. Just wow. Looks like Albert's WAR is quite a bit higher. |

Frank was better than Cabrera too. He dominated even when his opponents were juicing. He just didn't get pissed and pull a Barry Bonds. |

Frank has been outspoken against steroids his entire career, even before the strike. You could look it up. He came up pretty damn huge, and he seems to have been against steroid usage while still at Auburn. This isn't a debate; it's not controversial whatsoever. He may have other weaknesses, but steroid usage is not one of them. |

McGuire, AROD, Sammy, Manny, Albert all on drugs. Nothing proven on Albert. But Jack Clark called him out. He had the info on it. Albert never sued him. So that means guilt. Frank was outspoken before there was testing. He wanted testing. None of the above guys called for that. So he's the best right handed hitter of the last 40 years. Case closed. |

So yes it is still a debate. Again if he played for the Indians the thoughts would be different. |
