Is his real name burger, or did he just get renamed for his eating habits?

Great name, seems to have some personality...I'm guessing this will be underslot.

Won't take long to have a sandwich named for him in this town.

1. Moncada 2b
2. Robert Of
3. Kopech Rhp
4. Giolito Rhp
5. Collins C
6. Dunning Rhp
7. Lopez Rhp
8. Burger 3b
9. Hansen Rhp
10. Burdi Rhp

Hansen can move as high as #3 depending how he handles his imminent call up to W-S or Birmingham in the next few days after the draft is done. Sox need one of Burger, Collins or Robert to break out massively and become a blue chip Moncada-like prospect.

With a name like that I assume he is as fat and slow as Schwarber.

Maybe if Williams were still making the picks. I expected somebody with exactly this sort of bat first profile, especially with the low strikeouts. That Hiura guy was probably the one they were hoping for.

One dimensional player. Doesn't have good feel to hit. Too many better options on the board.

Maybe Sox are hoping to get him under slot to pick up some tougher signs in the later rounds.

Or they suck.

And not as good of a hitter.

If this guy can't hit .170 then it's a pretty awful pick

So this is the best pick of the draft then!

Chris Jericho was known for the arm bar and he did alright. :eye:

Arm bar is somewhat overrated as a problem because you can make up for it in the rest of the swing depending how you do it, but he doesn't look like he's spent much time working on it from the youtube clips I've seen. Looks like you could eat him up with inside strikes and he'll chase low and away... but the power looks good and maybe he is the next Chipper Jones after some development (or at minimum David Wright.)

If Burger is David Wright a lot will have to go wrong with Robert, Moncada and next year's first rounder for the White Sox to not be successful.

I'm thinking he's a bum, track record of drafting scrubs.

He has the appearance of a perfect hand picked SW side Sox hero.

I think it was the backlash to the "Ruth has a hitch in his swing" that drove him off. I wonder what he is doing, too.
