Post subject:  Stone & Benitti have to stop the comedy act
They think they're doing comedy gold. But it ends with an awkward/weird ending most of the time. They're not funny people. I blame Benitti more than Stone. He starts it and makes Stone think of something witty to say. Which Stone can't do on the fly.

I wouldn't mind the bad comedy once in a while. But Benitti forces it all the time.

when there's a shit product on the field, there will be a lot more banter between the hosts. if the sox get good, as they should with those prospects, they'll get more serious.

Santo lived a crazy lifestyle and it's his fault he lost his legs.

Beneti was born with his disorder so it's hard to cheer against him.

but the original point is correct. Benetti is what he is. Stone is fine w/ Hawk but turns into a blithering idiot when with Benetti. The interview/promo thing they did with that kid who is going to Duke was horribly uncomfortable. Stone giving him some solid life advice :roll:

Benitti....not good. I liked him at first but quickly noticed his "false" excitement in his voice on a say a semi-deep fly ball to left in the second inning of "just another" game. He still does this / that.

I agree 100% on the comedy criticism too. It is really painful to listen to at times.

WSCR recently interviewed the Cubs triple A announcer and they were talking about Hendrix rehab performance. Whoever that guy is, he sounded pretty good...seemed like he had a personality and expressed thoughts well. Maybe he sucks as a game announcer, I don't know...but there has to be a few guys out there that could do the [white sox] job a whole helluva lot better.

AA. M1ck Gillaspie (sp?) does the radio calls for if you have MLB Audio in spring training. Great listen.
