Best first baseman in Chicago. Congrats on joining some pretty select company. Jose Abreu is building an impressive collection of souvenir baseballs. The White Sox first baseman kept the ball he hit for a triple to complete his first cycle earlier this month, and on Saturday night he added another for his trophy case. Abreu became the third player in major-league history to begin his career with four seasons of 25-plus home runs and 100-plus RBIs Abreu joined some impressive company: Joe DiMaggio (1936-39) and Albert Pujols (2001-04) |

Quote: Best 1st baseman in Chicago! This is the 1st time since 2014 Rizzo hasn't wiped the floor with him statistically(Rizzo is still having the better year), still laughable thought... Remember when you guys thought Avi was better than Bryant? |

After year 1, he sucks in the spring when it matters then racks up huge numbers when the pressure is off. Kind of like Aramis Ramirez when he was with the Cubs. |

Once again far superior to his crosstown counterpart. |

Abreu better at offense and leadership, Rizzo the superior defender. |

What can the Sox get in return if they trade him? |

I wouldn't trade him unless somebody blows you away with their offer. |

We shall see. It's always good when a playoff bound Yankee team has a need in a position you are looking to trade |

Was against a trade, but if it's a true haul, why not? He loves it here--let him go to a contender for 1.5 years, get a haul, and have an unofficial deal with him to come back in 2020. |

Trade him. Love the guy. Great hitter and a great signing but they're 25 games under .500 with him. He's useless on this team. He's not Freddie Freeman who is in the middle of his prime when the team is good. He's in the back of his prime and will be waaaaaay past it when/if this team is ever good. Get what you can and let him finally play some meaningful baseball games. He deserves it. |

He is happy in Chicago and I am happy having him in a Sox uniform. If they aren't good next year I am not opposed to trading him, because at that point they never will be, but its too early now. He can still be a part of a winning Sox team. |

Saw something the other day where Houston is interested in him. If you get blown away by a deal, take it. Otherwise yeah he's happy here. Keep him and re-evaluate next season. |
