Marc Buehrle. Only one walk to Sosa. But faced the minimum because of a pick off. First no hitter since Alvarez in 1991. |

Congratulations Buerhle! What a great performance! Hopefully, this will get the White Sox rolling as well! |

It was the first for the Sox since 91. Of course there have been a couple dozen since then. F |

Only a two hour game. Comcast is sheduled to replay the Cubs game at 1:30am becasue they were on Plus today. I wonder if they'll change that to this for those who missed it or want to tape it? |

and thumbs up to hawk and DJ for not saying "no no" or "no hitter" after about the 4th or 5th inning... great game |

Wow, best feeling I've had after a sporting event since the Sox won the World Series. Great pitching and very good defense behind him. |

Well. Look at it this way. For all of you guys who were pissed or thought Buehrle should have been the opening day pitcher it worked out. Had he opened the season he wouldn't have pitched today and would have missed this Rangers series completly. Good thing Ozzie had him as the 3 starter. |

The only important question: How did Brandon McCarthy do and how can we expect to compete without him? |

I don't get the jinx thing. The more people that buy into it the more absurd it gets. Talk about if it floats your boat and if doesn't that's cool. But if you honestly feel, that in any way, you or the announcers saying "no-hitter" has any effect on the game, that's goofy. |

It's stupid to think that way. By the way guys. Somebody posted it in the "Voice of the Sox" section before Buerhle took the mound in the 9th. So that proves it's no jinx. |

i hope you're right. i'll likely be up that late, regardless, so i'd like to see it. Let me think, a no-hitter or another fricken Scott Erye melt down to cost the Cubs the game,...hmmmmmmmm. Good for Mark, nice to see a pitcher in the city able to get 27 outs without throwing a temper tantrum or walking every fricken batter they face. |

I heard Carmen and JD say that Mac and the GM of the station decided not to go today. But they had tickets. They said 25k were there today. I wonder if that's accurate though. |

To go against the jinx thing, Buehrle mentioned how he doesn't buy into that crap, joking to Toby Hall 'you know a got a nohitter right now?' |

Well for you history buffs the Sox also wore there black uniforms when Alvarez threw his no hitter in Baltimore in 91. Before Alvarez, a bum named Joe Cowley through a no hitter for the Sox in 86. It was in Aneheim if I think. Cowley had like 8 or 9 walks that day. LOL. |
