Aardesma gives up a 2 out 2 run dinger to tie it in the 9th.

so i was wrong about aardsma closing, maybe. it's one opportunity. what i don't understand is coop saying in the pre-game that jenks would be available in a save situation, macdougal would not be available at all. this was a save situation, and if jenks was available, he should have been out there.

both have pitched 2 games in a row, now aardsma's gone 3 days in a row. i really dont have a problem with it.

hopefully they can pull it out...but they dont deserve to win it.

Jenks closed out 3 straight days (Thursday vs Texas, and then both wins on Friday/Saturday in Detroit)....The only explanation for what Cooper said is that he's just wrong or Guillen didn't tell him that he wasn't going to use him. Either way, once the 9th started, and he's not out there, he isn't going to pitch unless it's the 20th inning. I was a bit suprirsed that Thorton didn't the save opportunity - he's been a little rocky this year, but I don't think his workload has been that bad of late. They must just decided to ride out Aardsma while he's been so hot of late.

Tough loss today especially when you're one out away in the 9th inning with a 2 run lead. Also don't want to forget Mr. Double Play himself, Paul Konerko, who in the top of the 9th, with 1st and 3rd, grounded into a 6-4-3.

Today was certainly not Paulie's finest hour.

I just hope Konerko can snap out of this funk soon.

It seems to me that he has a tendency to get really bummed when he goes into a slump. Based on Sunday's performance, I don't think he can sink much lower...

He will. We just have to deal with the slow start until then.
