I promise you that any contract either of them agree to will have a player option opt out after 2-3 years. It only makes sense for them to leave the window open to another big pay day while they are still in their 20s. |

I think they are getting one of them as I wrote in a thread several years back. There is precedent too: Albert Belle. Reinsdorf is getting old, and both of these teams have made him a lot of money. |

Offer them a combined $300M for 4 years to play together. Tell them to split it however they see fit, but they both have to sign. After the 4 years, individual club options for $40M/year for each of them for five more years. So total potential prize package is $700M over 9 years. |
