If that boat ever becomes a playoff contender, TIMMY will be sitting on the bench or in the minors. he's not a starting player on a WS team.

I think this take is wrong. Don't blame him for optimism because we wanted Machado or whatever. The team is the same it was last week but missed out on an addition. They knew there was no WS this year and they want to keep moving forward. Can't blame that.

I think that he is an average major league player and as such, one of the better players on the current team.

Hey, I like Timmy. He's a passionate guy, has leadership skills, shown real flashes of being great defensively. But Reinsdorf blew an opportunity that he will never have again. There was a price tag to meet with only one other mediocre competitor and he shit the bed and I resent it. This rebuild better work or I'll drive the fucking moving truck to Vegas myself.
