You won't miss it. You can still go to a game if you want and just not pay attention there either. Otherwise, parks, museums, and shows can provide you a chance to go out of your house if that is your thing. One day, the Sox will be good and then you can just jump on the bandwagon like every hockey fan but Curious Hair did with the Blackhawks.

It is the summer. You don't need sports to fill the void in your life, and if you do, the Bears provide monthly content and you just have to make it to August anyways to really get into it with the Sam Rosen experience.

I love Baseball. I will watch the Cubs and Brewers. The sox have made me worse than angry....they've made me numb and indifferent toward them. Maybe one day Jerry will figure it out, but that is doubtful.

Better advice: Pay attention to baseball but never believe the organization has an idea as to how to properly run a professional sports franchise.

Much easier to ignore baseball.

It almost seems like JR intentionally destroyed the white sox fanbase if you view the entire timeline of his ownership.

Even the world series didn't seem intentional for JR as it was based in a sell off of some star players.

I wish Cowley were still on the case. It is time to put heat on JR and a nice, long Sunday paper story about JR from the beginning would be a good start. I think most have largely forgotten his bad deeds over the years.

I just wanna know, how he pulls off some of the stuff off with the city. Free rent and not having to pay anything on that Bacardi lounge.

See, an ideologue like Joe Ricketts is always going to make someone angry because he is stuck spending his money at one location. JR supports everyone, heavily. You really don't even know JR's personal political beliefs.

I think we’ve hit 30 threads on this topic at least.

That’s gotta be a record.

JR has been pretty big on diversity in baseball. That's one area he's been celebrated for that can be considered political. I wonder if it's a product of his loyalty to former players or maybe it's part of the influence of growing up as a fan of the Dodgers/Jackie Robinson.

Possibly. The Cutler trade and North's Webio thing had a lot.

JERRY wins again!

I've gone to more Windy City Thunderbolts games over the last two seasons than I have Sox games. Close to home, super family friendly, cheap beer & food, and you can tailgate if you pay the $2 to park. Last year we went on a beautiful Friday evening with Doug and Mrs Doug, and sat right behind the visitors on deck circle. Was a great time.

As AJ gets older, we will be joining the kids club for him and taking him there multiple if not MANY times a season. http://www.wcthunderbolts.com/community/kidsclub/
