There are a TON of tickets left for this thing tomorrow. I hope it is not even close to being sold out. Hopefully this sends a message to the WhiteSox. BTW: Fuck every single person that works for the Sox, including Jerry himself! |

Thursday is the stupidest day for an Opening Day. They all should be on a Friday or a Monday. I'd go if I could take off work, but I imagine that 42 degree temps and rain is going to keep MANY casual fans from heading down there. Not to mention that its eighty fucking dollars for an outfield seat in the lower bowl. I can understand jacking up the prices for opening day a little bit, but the most expensive non suite/scout seat ticket in the park should be about $40, and you should be able to get a SRO/Upper Deck ticket for about $20. |

They are practically giving tickets away this season. I got an e-mail about a deal where you can have 76 tickets for something like $300. The tickets are not assigned in advance but you know the majority of the time you will be able to stroll right down to the lower bowl and sit in a premium seat. |

Yeah, it is a $49.99 per month deal to watch 76 games. |

Frank Coztansa wrote: If you wait about two weeks, you will probably get an email like that with a ticket for every April & May home game for about $40. I am really torn about going. I try to hit up 10-15 games a year with various friends. We enjoy going to the game, chatting, and having fun. But we have a cheap ass owner, and I really don't want to give my money to him. |

I sat in the highest part of the upper deck during a snow storm for an opening day when the sox cared about winning. Maybe I'll go next year. |

He makes money when you don't show as well. However, the parking and food sales hurt his pocketbook. Buy the cheapest ticket, park east of the expressway and eat before you get to the park. I think Sox fandom is going to make a big statement to ownership this year. However, its too late. There may never be another 26 year old MVP level player who wants to play for the Sox to ever hit the free agent market again. They will respond by giving some FA at the tail end of his career a contract next off season. |

Idk GD. Chicago Sox fandom like the weather. A good window with a couple WS wins can change it for the rest of our lives. |

You don't believe that in the large equation player salaries play a part in ticket and concession prices? A friend called the Sox after they offered that ridiculous offer to Machado. They specifically said, the talent or salaries have no impact on the ticket prices. |

You don't believe that in the large equation player salaries play a part in ticket and concession prices? Which large white sox contract do you think affected ticket prices? And you're still just defending the owners at the expense of the workers as per usual. I understand that these "workers" are a little unique since they make so much but its just more "support management and fuck any worker who is not me" bullshit. |

The Sox are not isolated and the national MLB scene helps determine prices. In other words, I would say average player salaries makes a huge impact. I also am not supporting management. I am more bothered by the strange isolated artificial inflation fueled thing that is sports economics. So in light of that anyone happy players get as much as possible are playing into that and their $85 outfield seat. |

This is just the minimum wage argument (which is really the workers vs management argument) in another form. We disagree. |

Postponed to Friday. Hate the owners or not, I'm going to enjoy 60 and cloudy more than 45 and rain. |
