this is not a denigration of Jimenez. He has shown glimpses at the MLB level and I think he will be very good. Robert looks like the kind of player that has no limitation. |

I think the major difference is Robert looks to be a 5 tool kinda guy. |

Different kind of players. Both great upsides. Robert is the prototype for a center fielder while Jimenez is bigger and probably has the larger home run upside. JImenez will remain a left fielder with a fall-back as a 1B. They also have a couple of outfield prospects that could end up as center fielders with Robert potentially moving to right field. He definitely has the arm for right field. I really like what I am seeing with the plate discipline that Jimenez has along with his plate coverage. He is willing to take the ball to the right side and not try and pull everything. In a couple of years, the Sox could really turn things around in the outfield which has been horseshit for a long long time. |
