I think their plan was to keep him with the wave of "talented" Hispanic players. Sadly, I think we learned that there is only 1 in the minors, and hopefully he is playing for the big club to start the year. |

Stevenson is a loss. No other way to describe it. He was awesome with the A's hitters and also with the young Sox hitters. It is a stupid decision. |

The situation remains the same no matter the manager He has no idea how to manage a bullpen, and keeps playing guys that are bad at their jobs. I still did not understand why Collins was brought up the 1st time, if he wasn't gonna start at C or 1B. |

So awesome you don't even know his name despite it being posted right here in the thread Maybe SteveRson really wasn't awesome and Moncada, Anderson, Eloy, Eaton, Abreu etc were going to hit regardless of who the hitting coach was. SteveRson has been the hitting coach here since 2014. Let's see just how "awesome" the some of the Sox averages and OPS's are for some of these young players he has coached; Conor Gillaspie .260 / .711 Avi Garcia .271 / .746 Trayce Thompson .206 / .640 Mike Olt .203 / .584 Micah Johnson .230 / .576 JB Shuck .229 / .604 Matt Davidson .225 / .726 ("The Bat" ) Charlie Tilson .246 / .600 Nicky Delmonico .227 / .709 Adam Engel .215 / .601 Daniel Palka .218 / .710 Cody Asche 62 plate appearances, 6 hits, 3 walks, GONE! Jacob May 42 plate appearances, reached base 5 times, GONE! So yeah, Hawk. A lot of shitty, awful numbers there. You would think that if SteveRson was such a great hitting coach, there would be a few guys here and there that actually did well once they got to the Sox from the minors. There is hardly anybody he developed. So, I guess its a good thing you aren't here for the sports talk. Fucking christ. Some of these guys if I ever hear their names again it will be too soon. |

My goodness, little one. Pardon me if I had a typo for goodness sake. Fact is that Steverson and I have talked several times in Arizona about a couple of kids that I coached who were in the A's farm system while he was the hitting instructor for the A's. He is well recognized in baseball as an excellent coach. But you wouldn't know that, being the weird dufus that you are. YOu also wouldn't understand that hitting a major league pitch is considered by many as the single hardest things to do in all of sports. You noted a number of players who failed to hit when they reached the majors. Did you ever think in your puny brain that these guys just did not have the requisite hand/eye coordination to hit and drive a baseball against a 97 mph fastball a top notch slider or change-up? I guess that I am just going to have you go the way of LTG in my eyes. All you do is post nonsense and insults. You just interject yourself into decent conversation and insult people. Go away, little Frankie. |

He doesn't need to be stronger. He needs to pinpoint his control. |
