Yea, this is the one guy I was hoping the Cubs would have landed. They would have traded him for a #4 starter anyway so it's for the best. |

I hope he is all the hype and more, at the MLB level. I hope to god they let he and Madrigal break camp. |

I think that the 2020 second baseman will probably be Mendick. That is if they don't make a move toward signing Rendon in which case, Moncada would move back to second base. If the latter happened, the White Sox infield would be the strongest offensive infield in major league baseball with all of the hitters being 30+ HR, 85-100 RBI, .290-.325 BA guys. |

You think Madrigal's bat or glove isn't ready? No way they move Moncada back. |

If the guy who stuck out a total of 16 times in 2019 is not ready with the bat, I don't know who would be. |

I doubt that they re-sign Yolmer. Too much money for basically a no power, no average offensive player. I like Mendick and I believe he is a fine addition to the team. He can play five positions and has some pop in his bat. |

The Hawk wrote: I'm not going to argue with you about Moncada. Good, cuz you're fucking wrong. Moncada is the 3rd baseman regardless of who the Sox trade for or sign. And Yolmer is arbitration eligible, under Sox control for the next two seasons. |

They are not going to pay an estimated $6+ million for a light hitting guy who would be a utility player at best on a good team. BTW, Rendon is the best all around 3B in all of baseball. HE will be the 3rd baseman on any team that gets him. |
