Only played 9 years ? When you see the bums that hang around until their late 30s nowadays I’m amazed when I look up some of these guys that get mentioned and see they were out of the game by age 31 or 32 and hit like .270 the previous year. Seems like despite being slow , tiny , and black ( in this case ) the bar was set a little higher for production back then to be able to hang around than it is today |
