So we spent a bunch of money on a catcher who was worse than McCann last year. Well, at least it's something. |

Switch-hitting power hitter at the catching position. Gives you a lefty presence that allows you to use him at DH on days he's not catching. Good signing and improvement over McCann. |

Had to be aggressive and possibly over pay early. Alot falls into place now. He is a strong LH bat, which makes it less important for the next RF to be a lefty. And can now use McCann or collins to trade for that RF. Also, coming to pitch here now looks much more attractive to free agent pitching. |
