Who'da thunk that the Cubs would be able to hit anyone, even the challenged McDougal, in the late innings.
I am a Cubbie fan, but the Cubs are just what McDougal needed. I guess it didn't really work out that way but you get the drift.

Why does Ozzie let Buerhle bat in the top of the 7th and then pull him out of the game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th? All so that you can get Mike Macdouchebag in the game? Bad move.

Not too smooth with the NL rules.

4 errors so far. Stellar debut for Toby Hall and Joe Crede better have broken his jaw if he is going to miss this game.

Complete screwjob all around by both Ozzie and MacDougal. Then he's back in the 8th and just gave up 2 more runs. Way to make things easier on the offense for the bottom of the 9th Ozzie. It's obvious he has nothing right now so why keep him in after letting him ruin another great start.

While it seems that Ozzie is behaving oddly and trying to give the Cubs this game, remember that just yesterday Willie Randolph sat virtually every starter he had and the Cubs managed to do what the Cubs usually manage to do...seize defeat from the jaws of victory. I wouldn't worry until the last out of the 9th is recorded if I were you.

yah....

Unfortunately the North wins this round, and completely due to the ineptitude of our bullpen. I'm not exactly sure what a relief pitcher needs to do in order to get his mind together to face an aging, mediocre hitter with neck spasms who hasn't played in 6 days.... however I bet he probably shouldn't throw a meatball late in the count for him to capitalize.

The guy is just not getting it done these days. He still is a quality pitcher but he needs to get his head on straight. A little time in the minors would be good for him.

With this bullpen, in this division, 83 wins sounds about right :x
Fuck Aardsma too.

He certainly is not making your point lately. You really have to wonder how much longer they will keep running him out there.

STOP PUTTING HIM IN IN PRESSURE SPOTS OZZIE.

Yes he got one out and one walk. But on the out the guy swung at ball four today.

It's funny you'd think Irish boy would be able to accidentally throw a strike. But know. Another wasted performance for a Sox starter.

Thornton and AArdsma were no better. But I'll take hits over walks.

this whole bullpen sucks. if it wasnt for gooch and jerry owens, they wouldnt have scored today and would have lost yesterday.

dye, thome, konerko can get a hit anytime now.

i dont care how much baseball is left to be played, this team is going nowhere. at least the comedy of errors on the northside is keeping me somewhat sane

Can we please send David Aardsma back to the minors ?
He sucks.
I don't care who we bring up. Anyone can do what he's doing.
MacDougle also sucks, but the only thing we can do with him is DL him given the Sox aren't going to release him.

I don't think anybody won the Cotts-Aardsma trade now.

Nope. That was the classic baseball trade where it hurt both teams.

If that is true, I'm glad they sent both and didn't choose one or the other. To tell you the truth, I haven't been that happy with Massett, either.
