Ffuck you. there was no need to cancel the goddam game tonite. it barely rained after 6:00. you fucking fuckers. i have a friend in from new zealand, and we had tickets-- 2nd row bleachers. now, im stuck with having to use these saturday nite tickets for a monday afternoon game. plus, not only do i not get to see a game with really good bleacher seats, it signifcantly hurts my chances of getting laid. grrrr... |

I think this is twice that they called it and could have played. Then the one time they didn't call it early was the Yankee series. They waited until 9:30 and then called it. I think Bosard has influence based on radar. But yeah, today is the 2nd time they've been wrong. It didn't rain by me from 7-10. Couldn't have been much different at the Cell. You know what sucks? We were facing the worst starting pitcher in MLB today. Guy was 0-7 with a 7.2 ERA. Tampa Bay is skipping him tomorrow. So if we don't face him in that make up game and lose that could be looked at as a guarentee win that we missed because we called a game where it didn't rain. |

I took two six year olds and a four year old on the Red line tonight down to the cell. We get to the gate and they tell us the game is off. We get back on the red line and waste 80 bucks at the ESPN zone. You know why they callled the fucking game? . . . the weathermen. Darren's right. It's fucking bullshit. I should write more, but I'm too pissed and tired. I talked to hundreds of Chicagoans who were fucking pissed at the Sox organization tonight. http://score670.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=11962 |

The rain had moved out of the area by 8:00 PM so they could have realistically gotten the game started by 8:30ish. Now, they have like 4 double hitters in the summer, and, as you mentioned, they passed on the chance to pitch vs a bad pitcher. Kazmir tomorrow will beat them if he's on his game. I don't know why they have this knee jerk reaction to cancel a game if it's rained around gametime. |

Surprising that none of the major newspapers questioned the decision to cancel. Only in the DH did we get a quote from Ozzie: “I have to throw Roger Bossard under the bus; Roger’s been off all week, all year long,” Guillen said. “We used to trust him when he didn’t have any (weather tracking) machines; now he has every type of equipment and he’s been wrong all year long." |

what pisses me off is why call the game right at 6? why not wait til 7 or 730 and see how the skies/field look then make the call. it was bullshit. we got to the cell about 4-430 and drank some beer in the parking lot. it rained-- and not even all that hard-- for about 45 min, then stopped. started barely drizzling again right about 6, but stopped for good not later than 630 as much as i hate to say this, i hope tampa comes in and kicks thier ass on that monday afternoon in august. i also hope its 120 degrees that day. let the players stew on that instead of having an off day. |

Postponing a game prevented you from sealing the deal? Now I've heard everything... |

Question: we bought four tix to this game from a season ticket holder. When a game is rained out do season ticket holders get to use their ticket for any game or just the makeup game? |
