I remember this game. Yankees no hit the WSox but still lost. One of those special quirks in baseball that make it so special. It was an official no hitter on the books until Faye Vincent changed the rule that you can't have a no hitter count if you lose (i think??). Sammy Sosa cranked one in that game, but the wind was blowing in so hard that it turned into a fly-out. It was definitely headed for the upper deck. |

11 year old me was at this game. And it was actually July 1 The Yankees were still hot garbage at the time...especially on defense. |

I had driven up to Michigan for the day to get away, and caught the last five or six innings on CBS Radio, with Big Game Brent on the call. That was an amazing game. |
