this. And as a baseball fan it really is insulting that the sox players and coaches don't seem to take this seriously. lazy throws, stupid errors, really bad to watch with all the expectations / hype for this team this year. it's prime time fellas. no more excuses that the kids can play. time to live up to the hype or at least look like you give a shit to. maybe it needs a new coach to drill this into their heads. seems like the current manager/coaches are too laissez-faire. |

We've had the great pitching and shitty lineup. I'll take the pitching we have with this lineup. Going on the road will allow the offense to give the starters a lead before they take the mound. |

Most of these guys are either young or new to the team. It takes some time to gel too. 60 games may be too short for that but at least it builds the foundation for next season. |

Twins are good. I'm not in a panic over losing the series to them. Gotta go 15-5 against the Royals and Tigers. 5-5 against the Indians. You can go 4-6 against the Twins. Split the 20 games against the national league central. And that will probably be good enough to be the 8th seed in the playoffs. |

Expanded playoffs and the schedule means it will take colossal fuck up not to make it. Two of the teams are are not even trying and just a matter of beating Twins or Indians. Plus they will still likely end up with a 7 or 8 even if they do not pass those two in standings. |

Mariners, Royals, Tigers, and Orioles have no chance. So 8 out of the 11 remaining teams make it. The Angels and Rangers are at a decided disadvantage because their schedules are harder and both had worse pitching trouble than the White Sox today (Otani got pulled after letting six straight guys on base with no outs, Kluber left after an inning). So that means the White Sox are basically playing the Buffalo Blue Jays for the 8th playoff spot. |

I find all of this shit very funny. They are one game behind and three games have been played in a season which is beset with weird shit all around. "No more excuses"? What "excuses"? How about they played three games against a very good loaded team which is favored in the division and got beat in two of the games. Now you and others are talking about a "laissez-faire" manager and coaches and to fire the guys that they have, eh? Funny shit. Here we had a pitcher who was ouchy when he took the mound and got rocked. They had a left fielder who got concussed going back on a home-run and they got the shit kicked out of them. Big deal. The Twins are definitely the team to beat in the AL as far as I am concerned but the Sox have a good chance also. Lopez should have told them that something was wrong and that is on him. I saw that very early on in how short his stride was on his fastball and how open he was. that was the reason why his pitches tailed so much and why his velocity was down from normal. |

Sox pitching is shitty at the back end of the rotation. But I expect the offense to win a few 8-7 games to make up for it. Although I think Cease might be a good pitcher. Maybe. So then put Lopez in the bullpen and replace him with Gio. Lopez might be a guy that can get you an out or two in the pen. |

Abrea, Garcia and Anderson are all the worst at the position defensively in the game. Eloy is also one of the worst defensive outfielders in baseball. |

They may be a bit better at this point in time but next year their guys will mostly be on the later stages of their careers while the majority of the Sox guys are pretty young. |
