Cancelled most likely. You can claim sweep.

 Is this actually happening? Can't we just kick the Cardinals out of MLB at this point?

I got the Cardinals on Ventilators sweeping the Sux.

The Sox are off tomorrow so my guess is we will know then.

Knowing the Sox this year, they will kick ass the first game and then lose the last two games to a bunch of hasbeens and scrubs that the Cardinals had to pick up off the scrap Heap.

I don't know how they are going to make up all these games of declare winners in the divisions if there are going to be all of these mismatched number of games played.

Cardinals had no positive cases as of the last test so my guess is they play.

Saw something on twitter today about how they expect St. Louis to play about 50 games. Next question is if they then go by win percentage, how many games must a team play to be eligible for the post season.

On MLB Radio today, Brad Lidge was talking about how there is no way to play that many doubleheaders, not even at 7 innings. He and the co-host were talking about how to set an equitable approach if one team plays 58 games and another team plays 48.

Usually I am an ally of Cardinal Nation but in this unique case I believe the Sox should finish what coronavirus started.

I really don't feel the need to hear from a career reliever with only 600 career innings and 3 or 4 good seasons about what baseball players can or cannot do.

A respected everyday position player or 15 year starting pitcher? Sure, let me hear your thoughts.

But Sunday doubleheaders were common for quite awhile. And...

Quote:
Let's Play Two! Remembering Chicago Cub Ernie Banks

It's an admiring imitation of Ernie Banks, the Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame baseball player who died last night at the age of 83. Ernie used to say, especially in the long years of hot summers — including this last one, when the Cubs were stuck in last place — "It's a beautiful day for a ballgame. Let's play two today!"

It became his signature line. People on the street people would ask for it, the way kids at a concert call out for Bruce Springsteen to sing "Born in the U.S.A.", and he'd oblige. "Let's play two! Let's play two!" It was a phrase he used to remind himself and other players that whatever their complaints, they got to play a game for a living, and hear the cheers of strangers. It was a reminder to all of us to cherish life and the chance to have work that gives enjoyment to others.

Leury moved to the 45 day Injured List. So that's it for the regular season for him.

The White Sox have to pound the shit out of Wainwright and demoralize that team. Work deep counts and just keep the line moving.

It will be weird to play only 7 innings. I hope I don't have to see Cishek unless the game is out of reach.

It still doesn't change DJ's view that sliding into 1st is no different than sliding into any other base.

Unless you are trying to avoid a tag, sliding into first base is stupider than Deacon Blues.

He does, but that still will not stop Ricky from using him in high-leverage situations.

Good news are both games are only 7 innings.
