Benetti is fine but he just didn't know how to handle the big moment. Admittedly he has never had to call one before so that will get better with time as he'll have plenty to call this decade. |

Maybe he was babbling because there were no fans? With amped up crowd noise and fans on camera, perhaps he would have taken a breath and let some of the pictures do the talking. |

Benetti thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, but as long as Stone is in that room, he's definitely not. However, I don't know if I would call either radio guy top notch. I suspect I like DJ more than most people because I've grown used to him and he doesn't take himself too seriously, Masur is just okay. I was listening last night and both of them did a good job of letting you know that the no hitter was taking place without explicitly referring to it or beating it into the ground. |

I don't listen to a whole lot of Benetti and Stone, but I agree that there's something about him that just grates (same with Stone but for other reasons). The most enjoyable Benetti broadcast for me was when he had Bill Walton on as his color guy. |

Sox fans haven't had a good vibe in the booth since Hawk/Paciorek. |
