The biggest series since? I just loathe the Twins. Buxton is a new favorite to hate. Always seems to steal a home run or hit one against the Sox. Torri Hunter of his generation. And that Cave fucker only seems to hit us.

I would say take 3/4, but let's just sweep them and put them out of their misery.

3/4 would be huge as it would be a 5-5 series split with Sox owning the tie breaker if we end up tied.

Sox have a two game lead on the Twins in the loss column. You have to figure the pressure is on them to take this series. Even just splitting puts the Sox at a big advantage with 10 games left. Winning the series should pretty much wrap up the division.

Damn should be a fun one. Sorry I won’t get to watch it.....

Twins Sox series are always my favorite Sox games.

I agree with you that splitting the series should be looked at as a victory, but taking 3 out of 4 would really make me feel better about the Sox's chances going forward. I want them to demonstrate that they can dominate another playoff team.

splitting does get the job done, but taking 3 of 4 pretty much gives the Sox the division.

If Sox take 3 of 4, then the Twins have to actually finish ahead of the Sox to take the AL Central rather than win via tiebreaker.

They did

Although I understand why you wouldn't consider the Cubs a playoff team

Sox need to take all 4 and show who they are.

Renteria lost the last 2 games to the Twins by fucking around with his exhausted lineup.

Get your act together, Ricky and pound these guys!

As hot as the Sox are rolling, the Twins still really good. That's a very tall ask to get 3 out of 4. I agree with you, but not optimistic. I'd be ok with the split. Damn Twins....little perhonas!

Tonight looks like even money. I'm still not sold on Cease. His fastball gets hit hard. His curve is somewhat inconsistent. He needs to work on his change. But he's got talent for sure.
If the twins can lay off his slider they got more than a good chance to win. If not... well they don't.

I'd like Cease better tonight if McCann was catching

The way things are playing out, the Cubs @ WhiteSox final series, both teams may celebrate a division championship or playoff berth in the same game!

I would have rather seen McCann get the start behind the plate. Don’t think the Sox can afford to give up runs defensively in this game or series.

Starting Grandal at catcher doesn't bother me as he has been fantastic. Starting Nomar and Edwin is what bothers me. McCann should've DH'ed tonight and Engel should be in RF.

Nomar brings nothing
