Dunning struggling. Down 4-0 going into the 5th.

Abroo with 2-run single, then Eloy ties it at 4!

I'll have to replace it with the Robert o meter. OPS diving into Schwarber range.

The Sox are fine. This is the bridge year, and they still might win it all.

i warned you guys this will happen. it's not his fault, he's a rookie. if this was 162 he would have this happen to him sometime in June/July then adjust and be producing again.

but ya he's going to be a great player in the future. this slump is just a baseball thing.

The Big Hurt angry with Ricky. Give Robert some fucking protection in the lineup. Bat him higher with somebody good behind him. Stop fucking him with shit behind him. Slider, slider, slider, slider...

Says Robert is a superstar. Protect him and he'll get out of this funk!

[or...bring back Ozzie]

4 of the last 6 ChiSox games have not been played very well. That needs to turn around today.

Robert, Moncada and Mazara aren't hitting. And they seemed to be coasting after clinching.

Robert would see some pitches to hit if Edwin and Mazara were not constantly surrounding him in the lineup.

The everyday lineup from now until the Central is clinched, and then again during the playoffs should be;

TA SS
Grandal C/DH/1B
Abreu 1B
Eloy LF
Robert CF
McCann C/DH
Moncada 3B
Engel RF
Madrigal 2B

Bring Collins back as the emergency catcher. Edwin should ride the pine from here on out, and Mazara doesn't see the field until the Central is clinched or there is an injury.

Definitely. They got a few big hits in the losses, but weren't able to get wins. Cleveland is starting the reliever they just traded for today, and Bieber tomorrow.

Lineup protection is a myth

Maybe. Point is that EE and Mazara suck and have no business being everyday players at this point.

It's gonna be about pitching, anyway.

Decent article about Robert’s slump: https://www.si.com/mlb/whitesox/feature ... mber-slump

TLDR version: he’s somehow whiffing less often but fouling off/popping up a shit ton of hittable pitches. Author thinks it has to do with spin rate on the fastballs he’s seeing.

Put Crochet in this game, call high heat and have it "accidentally" miss McCann's glove and nail Hernandez in the skull. Problem solved and each day he spends in a coma will be a good day for baseball.

Wtf is Renteria doing? Pinch run but not trying to steal? Not going to score again with what’s left in the lineup.

It’s a terrible decision. Why was Colome not allowed to go another inning after throwing 6 pitches?
