I'm going to look at the positive side of it. This will make Vaughn all the more versatile. Second least important defensive position and Robert can cover everything hit to Vaughn's left. Same instruction as Eloy: put your heels on the warning track and only charge the ball. Timmy covers everything short anyway. |

So the Sox are going to replace Eloy in left with Vaughn in left? Effectively switching out one great rising young hitter who can't field with a great hitting prospect who has no experience playing in the outfield? Isn't this kind of potentially compounding their mistake? Let's hope Vaughn doesn't pose as great a danger to himself in the field as Eloy does. |

I was at the KC games 2 weeks ago and literally did see Vaughn play 2B since it was the day they traded for Cesar Hernandez but he wasn't joining them until the next day. He didn't look bad there. |
