This 30th Round pick in 2006 by the Sox leads to the acquisition of Adam Eaton, Lucas Giolito and Lance Lynn: 1. Sox draft Hector Santiago in the 30th round of the 2006 MLB draft. 2. The Sox trade Santiago to the Angles in 2013. The Angles send Marc Trumbo to the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks send Tyler Skaggs (RIP) to the Angles and Adam Eaton to the Sox. 3. In 2016 the Sox famously trade Eaton to the Nationals for Dane Dunning, Lucas Giolito, and Reynaldo Lopez. 4. In 2020 the Sox trade Dunning to the Rangers for Lance Lynn. Not a bad haul for a 30th round pick. |
