3 against the Rays at home 4 at Houston at the same time Cleveland gets 4 at home against the Orioles 3 at Pittsburgh get through this week without relinquishing any part of the current lead and I think they can be confident and comfortable in winning the division. I also think it influences the level of activity in trading as the Sox like to jump the market in making moves. |

remember august/sept of 2005? |

Post subject: | Re: Hell Week |
I remember they opened Sept 2005 with a 7 game win streak, and ended Sept 2005 with a 5 game win streak. Including sweeping Cleveland at their home park with basically an AAA lineup every day as they had already clinched the division when all Cleveland needed was one win to get the Wild Card spot. But please, tell me more about one of the greatest AL teams of the Division/Wild Card era. |

Fully expecting them to go 2-5. 3-4 or 4-3 would be nice though. |

3-4 is fine. 4-3 would be great. 2-5 would mean the Sox starters pretty much shit the bed all week. |

They'll be lucky to go 0-7. |

Oh no, their lead shrunk!! They knocked Cleveland out of the playoffs, and went on one of- if not the- best postseason runs in Division/Wild Card history. GTFO. |

I recall on a Pardon the Interruption as Cleveland got closer that Kornheiser said the White Sox were finished, and Cleveland was the story now as an obstacle to the Red Sox repeat. |

They now have series coming up vs. Pittsburgh, Seattle, Minnesota, Baltimore and Detroit. If they continue beating up on the bad teams, they should be just fine. Houston is very good team, the White Sox have a challenged offense and their pitching/defense didn't show up this weekend. Bounce back over the next week or two and this will be a distant memory. |

Twins on a bit of a run. Mariners on a bit of a run. Frankly, we're way overdue for a strugglin', but it is nice to know that while it's happening, it's against other strugglers. Hopefully, we can add a few games above the .500 mark, and have a nice restful all star break. After that, it's going to be a rough road to Aug 1. |

This team is good. They have holes and we've seen them wet the bed in New York and in Houston. The sky isn't falling, but there's work to be done. |

We are not elite, and that is what I worry about come the playoffs. At this point, I would be looking to add Max Scherzer, and hope the bullpen figures it self out. |

Outside of a couple games here and there, the rotation has been great. I would leave that as is. If you're giving up assets, you go for bullpen arm(s) or an outfielder. Possibly a 2B. |

I say this because, Rodon is gonna crap out here soon. Giolito is not an ACE. I worry we won't stack up well against the heavy hitters of the Rays/Yanks/Stros. |
