I've been calling for him to be up here since late May when he was killing it in Charlotte and Yermin was sucking. Glad he is finally here. Looks like he will be here to stay and Eaton might just get DFAed when healthy. |

I hope Sheets keeps rolling, but if we are being honest, Shoemaker and Ober looked like a couple of stiffs last night. |

I would pump the breaks on saying Sheets is here to stay for sure. Who knows really? It was two games. Eaton had some early home runs too. |

The only reason to send Sheets down would be to give him ABs. Now that they started his arbitration time clock, there is no reason to fuck around with him. Guy was picked in the top 50 in the 2017 draft for a reason. He has consistently hit at every level and is not some diamond in the rough guy. He was expected to be what we saw this week. |

He has a great, compact swing. He looks like he was born to hit. |

This is a Championship caliber starting rotation. Teams do not have this luxury often. You don't fuck with service time during a season like this. Two weeks ago I said Eaton should have been DFA'd when Hamilton returned. IMO that would have been the case had Jay Clam not had to go to the DL. |

Because JERRY and the Sox are notoriously cheap, and other teams in this city and across MLB have done the same thing regarding service time. |

It isn't even a consideration of the Sox, just CSFMB. |

For some reason, I found the Jay Clam typo hilarious. |

I like the way Collins has developed. It wasn't long ago people said he couldn't catch in the MLB. Then the defense developed making him a viable MLB backup given his always good OBP and left handedness. The power and average are now starting to develop. I think he will be splitting starts with Grandal by the end of next year. |
