Good return for him with two AAA starters. Joe Ryan should be in the Minnesota rotation by the end of the year for at least a couple of starts, Drew Stotman is probably a year away and may project more like a length reliever than a starter.

He's still a premium hitter who seems to always play big. He can carry a team.

Oh absolutely. I follow Tampa a fair amount since I go to their AAA games every few weeks. Their farm system is deep as hell, and it lets them do stuff like this. Cruz is going to be a monster in that lineup, even as a rental.
